training yippeeee

So yet again another transfer is gone and I just want to cry because it goes way too fast. But got some news this week. 
WE ARE TRAINING!

hna Johnson and I are trio training. so we get a newbee tomorrow. I have been praying for her and she is going to be way better then I ever was and she is going to be better then I am now. It is going to be really fun and hard. We have an extra hour and a half of studies everyday.... which means like two lessons short everyday.. but she has to get trained and someone has to do it. and the Lord has in trusted us with this responsibility and I am excited for her to get here. So Matilde is awesome so yesterday we had stake conference (which was a broadcast from Pres Eyring and other elders of the church.) but in stake conference there was a story about a recent convert that got baptized and before she had a year in the church she baptized 14 others. Matilde was talking about this at the beginning of our lesson with her and her husband and daughter.. and says "ya 14 is a lot i can do 6" then she starts counting pointing to her husband and daughter and then talks about the reat of her kids. IT WAS HILARIOUS because Brenda and Fidel were just like.. "uhhhh" and me and hna Johnson were just laughing hysterically. Because it is true they are all going to be baptized real soon. It is just getting a hold of them we have three different apt set up different days of the week with different members of the family. I'm so excited for them.

I am so happy for MEgs too she looked so happy and she sounds happy. I am so proud of her because she is truly taking one of the biggest steps of her life and she will be forever changed. Missions are the greatest and I cant believe chaz is coming home. How sad:( time flies way too fast.  

So we have been teaching Brianna she is 9 and her sister jayda 8. Grandchildren of a less active  long story short this family breaks my heart. and every time we teach them I just wish I could do more. There are 7 children that hna is watching and it is too much for her.. because these kids are crazy! kinda reminds me of us.. just toned down a few notches. but anywho we were studying discipline because they need a lot of it and how it is related to disciple. You should study it. because to be a disciple we need to be disciplined and what does it mean to be disciplined? Lots of things. You pretty much need to be just like Christ. So I was thinking about you and the boys and how we can put discipline into our lives so that we can become a disciple. a true disciple of Christ.

Hna Quezada

So this week has been a lot of fun.. and kinda crazy. We got our little trainy on Tuesday and she is darling she came from the Mexico mtc. blonde blue eyes. funny accent but soooo willing to do anything we say and she just goes for it. Its always a tad difficult for a new
missionary to adjust but she is doing well. So the saddest thing happened to her. the first day we took the bikes out she fell off...and hit hard. She hit a wall with her handle bars and hit the ground really hard. She jumped right back up and was all like I'm fine I'm fine. (i didn't think she was fine) we get to where we were going and she was in a ton of pain. We get to the clinic and they said that she might have broken her elbow. So now she is in a almost cast and sling and no bikes for a while we have to walk everywhere which is kinda hard. We walked 5 miles strait yesterday which was very tiring. anywho
if you send a package she likes oreos. (got your package thanks! chowed the gummy worms) oh and her name is hna Covington. and she is from st George. its been a lot of fun being three. i just love hna Johnson we
work so well together this was a match from heaven companionship. So Matilde got confirmed yesterday and her husband (who has a date for the 2 of march is right behind!) he is really starting to feel it. We
had a really good lesson with them yesterday. and Matilde is sooooo awesome!

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!!!!
oh a miracle happened with Mario. We had a lesson about the 10 commandments and sabbath day and he has been praying so that he could get Sundays off. So after that lesson he went into work and his boss
walked up to him and said "this Sunday is the last one you will be working" he is truly getting answers to his prayers and i love being
apart of his journey. He will be baptized in Feb and Brianna and jayda they live with their grandmas Esther. Who is a member she has been less active for over 20 years and she has come the last 3 weeks and
hit and miss before then. The Lord truly prepares people. Its been really fun seeing all the hastening. I feel so blessed to be here on my mission. and i cant ever put it into words.
You all sound like you are doing well. keep it up with school.  and up.

I LOVE MY MISSION

THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME! soooo packed with miracles and fun and tender mercies and so many blesssings i cant even begin to tell you. But I will try. So lets start with Maricela. We found her from a randonm referral given to hna johnson and davis before i got here. She told us to come in the morning and then she was going to tell us not to come back but she mentioned something about her husband being born and baptized in that church ( LESS ACTIVE WE HAVE TO COME BACK) we were pretty persistant and got a return apt. She lest us in we taught the restoration and when she was reading the first vision SHE STARTED BAWLING! the spriit was breaking the windows it was so strong. So we returned to teach her son about the BOM and they really loved getting gifts and she has a date in feb she said "I think this is what I have been searching for" as she was talking about the book of Mormon. She is super awesome so after that second lesson we had 15 min to get to the church for matildes interview... which ws about 5 miles away... and its not downhill. Lets just say we were really sweaty and made it in 20 min. AND SHE PASSED HER INTERVIEW. we knew she would. so prepared. So after that me and hermana were really tired and super hungry so we decided to go to ihop to celebrate. And we had a gift card which makes it better. half way through our dinner our waitress comes to us and say "oh by the way your meal hads already been paid for" "Really??" *both of us are in shock* she says "thats what happens when you do Gods work. I was very humbled and a few tears came to my eyes. I am so blessed to be a missionary and I know that my family is being blessed as well.

So yes Matilde entered in to the waters of baptism yesturday and it was awesome her whole family came! (nonmembers) and fidel(husband who we picked up on sat) showed me after the baptism the picture on his phone of me hna and matilde and said "thats going to be me next. (as he was pointing to his wife)"

I just love my missionary life. We have been so blessed in this area with so many prepared people and I just love it.

So we had ANOTHER mission training and we are flipping how we do teaching completely and its working and we are going to triple baptisms here and we are getting ipads really soon and sorry i had to delete all of you from facebook. dont worry ill add you again.. maybe.. ahahah

My comps awesome I sing and humm all weird and she jsut laughs at me she hit a fire hydrante a few weeks ago with her bike and leg. she had a pretty good bruise that funny thing is that thats the second time shes done that. I sang at the baptism and she played. We work really well together and its just been a ton of fun im in Ether right now and it drives me crazy how wicked everyone is but that has to happen so Joseph smith can happen.

 i can just imagine Cesar playing bball hilarious! and alecc writes me every week. he is stressed and really busy. write him a letter of gratitude for his example and for working so hard and the boys pray for there needs pray for them by name and the problems you have with them and as well pray with them. Have them pray for more patience as well. The power of pray will always help. 

I cant write my whole testimony because its too long and i dont have that kind of time. BUT CHRIST LIVES and this is His work!

OHHHHH YES PIZZA!!!!!!!

New years was slow here everyone was sleeping and nobody wanted to talk to us but we just worked as hard as we could and we ate more candy. We give away candy and junk like crazy but people keep giving us more and more. One of our investigators works at panera bread and she gives us bread and other sweets all the time she is awesome. Well your new years was missing something ME thats why you didnt have that much fun. haha just a joken but Im sure it will be fun next year.

I LOVE MY MISSION

So matilde will be baptised next week and not the whole family:( we are working on it but I have seen soooo many miracles in this area and we keep finding random less actives that arent on the ward list its really cool and Im excited to start teaching them. I love it here and I just love my companion we get along so well and we stay focused its great. We think we wont be together next transfer because we get along so well. Its fun here I also went on an exchange to east LA this week that was fun. Nothing too different just a lot more latinos and more people in general. well the mission is great is fun is tiring and i get sad everytime i think about how fast it goes. We have a mission wide training this week (which is really odd) its prolly about facebook and whatnot. man and we are getting ipads soon what a trip. Well the work is true go serve someone to make there day! All my love

Hi mom so yes it was great talking to you guys too. and actually the present was there the whole time I just didnt see it! crazy right? Super cute stuff thanks and my district loved the hi chews. Your the best. The basket is darling truely! So The rest of my Chrsitmas was good. We didnt have much work and a few things fell through but it was really good. I got to talk to papa and I was pretty happy about that. We actually talked in spanish for the whole time! It was awesome! I hope you had a good christmas. 

So on sunday I gave a talk in church. On faith and how through our faith we need to act and as we act we will feel and see the blessinings of the atonement. and what can we do to act? pray read study go to church then we ALSO need to share our testimonies and bring others to come unto christ. It is the way we can endure to the end and when we bring others to christ it will make us have the desire to act somemore. I truley am blessed to have the testimony I have the experiences and the time I have on my mission.

I have been trying to get through those letters from all the missionaries and it is really hard. There are so many but I love hearing from everone and truly seeing the change and conversion in all of them. 

Matilde has a bap date for the 12 and I am so excited for her and her family.  I love you and thank you for helping me with this.
